How to use RideShare NZ
A quick guide to find a ride or post your own — it only takes a minute.
Find a ride
- 1On the home page, type your departure city in Origin and where you're going in Destination.
- 2Optionally choose a Date, then tap Search.
- 3Browse the results. Each card shows the driver, time, available seats and the price.
Join a trip
- 1Tap a trip to open its details and see the driver's profile and reviews.
- 2Sign in or create a free account (it takes less than 2 minutes).
- 3Tap Join trip to reserve your seat — the driver is notified instantly.
- 4Use Send message or the driver's WhatsApp to agree on the pickup point and time.
Post your own trip
- 1Sign in, then tap + Post trip at the top or on the home page.
- 2Choose origin, destination, date, time, available seats and an optional price.
- 3Publish it. Other travellers can now find and join your trip.
Tips for a good trip
- Complete your profile and add a photo — it builds trust with other travellers.
- Agree on the meeting point and how to pay before the trip starts.
- Leave a review after the ride to help the rest of the community.
